.Replacing a Sensor
To install a sensor, the following 2 steps within the Trident Platform are required
to properly set up the device. This will require proper login access to the Trident Platform.
Name the new sensor with the appropriate location
Add the new sensor to the appropriate notification group
Register and name the new sensor.
Note the serial number of the new sensor and pull the
battery tab. Immediately place the sensor in the installation location.
Allow the sensor to go through the registration process.
A successful registration is indicated by a single beep
and 3 blue lights.
After the sensor registers, secure the 3 screws on the
battery cover and adhere the device using the provided velcro.
Within the Trident Platform, you will now see a banner on the Dashboard indicating an unnamed endpoint. Verify the serial number and select the appropriate device.

On the info tab, select the Building, Floor and name the device using the Room and Location dropdown options.
Add the new sensor to the appropriate notification
group(s).

Depending on your notification group settings, new devices may automatically be added to your notification group(s).

If you want future devices to be automatically added to a notification group, make sure to select the relevant Building(s) in relevant notification group(s).

From the left navigation bar, go to Notification-Notification Groups.
Select the appropriate notification group.
Select edit notification group.
Select Step 4-Devices.
Select the Sensors tab and select the
newly named sensor.
Select Save and Continue.

For more information on Notification Groups, see the solution article titled Notification Groups.
This completes the process required for setting up a new sensor
