Pre-Alarm (Variable)
Pre-alarm silence is a variable to endpoints that allows a user to silence an alarm within a specific time frame to prevent unnecessary alarm messages from being sent. The pre-alarm time can be adjusted through the device variables page. By default, the pre-alarm silence time is set to 15 seconds. A device that is pre-alarm silenced will then enter a lockout time for 30 minutes (default) unless manually reset (recommended). Pre-alarm information is captured within the Trident Platform however NO recipients will be notified.
Scenario: User accidently sets off the sensor during maintenance, cleaning or other work. If the device is silenced within 15 seconds, the alarm will still be captured in the Trident Platform but no recipients will be notified. User must manually reset the device or allow the lockout time to expire.
