How do I change the name of a device?



In the event of a water alarm, one of the most important things is your ability to respond promptly to the correct location. Always make sure your devices are named accurately. If you need to change a device name navigate to the Device Details view and select the Info tab.
  1. Info-Name a new device or edit an existing device location.
    1. You must have a building selected otherwise the device will be considered unnamed.
    2. Select a floor and secondary address (if applicable).
    3. Use the Room and Location dropdowns to select a location.
      1. If the option you desire is not available, use the additional description field.
    4. If Sensing cable is connected to a device, select the length of Sensing Cable.

 Make sure to save any changes.
